Why you see no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because of tracking. This site has none: no advertising network, no audience measurement, no session recording, no third-party pixel. What we store is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for, and European as well as Quebec rules exempt that category from prior consent. Adding a banner that asks permission for nothing would be theatre.
If we ever add audience measurement, you will be asked first, and this page will say so before it happens.
What is stored
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-…-auth-token | Local storage | Keeps you signed in and lets the platform know which account is asking for a course, a progress update or a certificate. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider. | Until you sign out or clear your browser data |
| theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the dark or light interface. | Until you clear your browser data |
| docusaurus.announcement.dismiss… | Local storage | Remembers that you closed an announcement bar, so it does not come back at every page. | Until you clear your browser data |
| inskillsec-course-… | Local storage | Remembers that you unlocked a course protected by a shared password, so you do not retype it on every lesson. | Until you clear your browser data |
Your language choice is not stored: it is carried by the address itself, which is why a French page lives under /fr.
Third-party content
Some pages embed a video or link to an external tool. If a page embeds a third-party player, that provider may set its own cookies once the player loads, under its own policy, which we do not control. Everything else on the site is served from our own domains.
How to remove it
Clearing site data for inskillsec.com in your browser settings removes everything listed above. It signs you out, and it forgets your theme preference. It does not delete your account or your progress, which live on the server; for that, delete your account from your account page.
