What this site is
InSkillSec, operated by Haythem Rehouma (Québec, Canada), publishes online training in offensive security: penetration testing, red team operations, and the exploitation of networks, systems and web applications. Four courses are free and form the entry track. The rest of the catalogue is premium and requires an active entitlement on your account.
Public pages — the catalogue, course previews, the Arsenal, the blog — are free to read and require no account.
Your account
- An account is personal. Do not share your credentials or your sign-in code; anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
- One person, one account. Accounts created to share a single paid access between several people may be closed.
- Give a valid email address: it is how we send sign-in codes and how we reach you about your account.
- The name you enter for certificates must be your real name. A certificate issued to a made-up name proves nothing and we may revoke it.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time, from your account page.
Lawful and ethical use
The techniques taught here are the same ones used in real intrusions. Using them without authorisation is a criminal offence in most countries, including Canada, where sections 342.1 and 430(1.1) of the Criminal Code cover unauthorised use of a computer and mischief in relation to computer data.
By using this site, you commit to the following, without exception.
- You will only practise these techniques against systems you own, against deliberately vulnerable labs, or against systems whose owner has given you written authorisation covering the scope and the dates.
- You will not use anything learned here to access, damage, disrupt, degrade or exfiltrate data from a system you have no right to touch.
- You will not use this material to develop, distribute or operate malware, ransomware, botnets or credential-stealing infrastructure against third parties.
- You will comply with the law that applies to you, which may be stricter than what a course example shows.
You alone are responsible for what you do with this knowledge. We provide teaching material; we do not supervise your activity, we cannot authorise a test on someone else’s system, and we accept no liability for the consequences of unauthorised use. Breaching this section terminates your access immediately, without refund.
Rights granted on the content
When you enrol in a course, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and study its content for as long as your access lasts. That right does not let you copy, record, download in bulk, translate, republish, resell, share or teach the material, nor use it to train a machine learning model, without written permission.
We may correct, restructure, replace or withdraw content, because a course on offensive security that never changes stops being accurate. Withdrawing a course you paid for while your entitlement is active is not something we do without offering an alternative.
Certificates
A certificate attests that you completed a course and passed its final quiz on our platform. It is verifiable by anyone holding its number. It is not a diploma, not a professional accreditation, not an industry certification, and it is not recognised by any accreditation body. Presenting it as such is a misuse, and we revoke certificates obtained by cheating or issued to a false name.
Payment, when it applies
The free courses require nothing but an account, and no card. Whatever is on sale at any given moment is listed on our pricing page, with its price, what it covers, and whether it is a one-off purchase or a subscription. That page forms part of these terms. Nothing here lets us charge you without your prior, explicit agreement.
Payment is taken by Stripe. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and taxes, where they apply, are added at checkout. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it; you can cancel at any time from your account page, and cancelling stops the next renewal without cutting the period you have already paid for.
You can ask for a refund within fourteen days of a purchase, and we will grant it. Two exceptions, both stated before you pay: a certificate that has already been issued is delivered and publicly verifiable, so it is refundable only if you have not yet claimed it; and access terminated for breaching the section on lawful use is not refunded. Write to us and a refund goes back to the card you paid with.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider incidents and network failures happen. The site is provided as is, without warranty that it fits a particular purpose of yours, and in particular without any promise that a course will get you a job, a certification or a specific result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses: lost profit, lost data, lost opportunity, damage to a system you tested, or legal proceedings resulting from your own actions. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount you actually paid us over the twelve months before the event, or at zero if you never paid anything.
Nothing here removes rights you hold as a consumer under the law that protects you, including the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, in particular the section on lawful use, that shares paid access, or that attacks the platform itself. You may leave at any time by deleting your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec, Canada, and disputes fall to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal — except where a mandatory rule of your country of residence gives you the right to a different forum.
Changes
We may amend these terms. Material changes are announced by email to account holders and take effect no earlier than thirty days after that notice. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the new version; if you do not, delete your account.
